Paid Podcasts ??? February 22, 2006

With the news of the first paid podcast on a subscription basis is out…my thoughts are as follows. I am a big believer in freedom of choice. Personally I think podcasts should be free. Free is the business model of the net. That being said premium services are chargeable. PodTech has tons of downloads a month and I won’t charge end users. Consumption always attract advertisers. That to me the way to go. In the future maybe for premium services but for now it’s free.
Watch their audience drop significantly but their profits will go up. They are tripping on dollars to pick up pennies.
