Yahoo’s New Corporate Blog August 2, 2006

Havi Hoffman from Yahoo just emailed me about their new corporate blog put out by Nicki from corp communications. This is a great move for Yahoo who isn’t promoting this through normal PR channels. Smart to use the new medium and new culture. Kudos to Nicki. This could be a great jumpstart for a Yahoo version of what Scoble did with Channel 9 at Microsoft.
The blog is the brainchild of Nicki Dugan, Senior Director of Corporate Communications, whom you met briefly at Blogher. (“Naked Conversations” has been on her bookshelf from the beginning.) Paul Stamatiou, our talented summer intern, a Georgia Tech junior who blogs about tech at www.pstam.com, took on the role of lead developer and built a custom WordPress blog on Yahoo! Web Hosting Professional server.
