Allen Stern is breaking a story that NBC Universal has selected Microsoft for the video player for the Olympics.    This is a big win for Microsoft.  I’m writing this as Microsoft’s Bill Gates delivers his final keynote speech of his long career.  Farewell Bill.  I remember seeing Bill deliver speeches at the Boston Computer Society back in the 80s.  WoW.

 Congrats to Silverlight.  Silverlight has a long way to go to beat Adobe.  I believe that Silverlight can make a sizeable gain on Adobe if they focus on Hi Def (HD).  For starter partner with Intel and get quadcore processing on everything.  Memo to Silverlight:  get HD to work and you win.
