If anyone criticizes Classical English Liberalism, Orthodox Economics, Austrian School thinking, Milton Friedman et al. tell them to read Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt. At the very end of part 2 of Chapter Six he tells us all to basically not do what our Government went ahead and did. Pgs 46 and 47. Trust me this will shut your liberal friends up for good!

What I can't understand is how the private sector is being blamed for what is fundamentally a combination of the creation of the two freddies and AIPAC type pressure to loan to sub prime groups. No doubt some pinhead in banking came up with "we can sell the note" thing but Republicans have got all the blame. If you go on the sweetness and light blog they have some thing about what political noises were made previous to the financial meltdown and it would surprise you what you find. Bush and Mc Cain were quacking about Fannie Mae and Barney Frank was just telling them to jump in a lake if I understand correctly. Go read it!
