Virtual Conglomerates: Market Wants New Kinds of Content

This is a great story from the NY Times that highlights the new media model.  Content development can happen fast and inexpensive.  Digg’s Kevin Rose and Jay Adelson are just doing their thing but the thing here is that the market wants ‘new’ kinds of content.  This is a great opportunity for PodTech, Digg, and other new producers. 

It will be hard for them to run more than one company.  Then again with virtual space being so dominant in our culture why not have a ‘virtual conglomerate’.
