Finally someone is talking about the ‘elephant in the room’. Thanks Fred. User experience in the new model is key. Fred absolutely nails this. Notable quote: “So if you want to build a business around digital media, you have to be the best place to view/consume the media. Being the only place to see it is a naive strategy that won’t work. You have to make digital media easy to find, easy to watch/listen/view, easy to comment/tag/share, and easy to replicate/reblog/republish.”
What Fred is getting at (maybe he knows it but it isn’t coming out in this post) is that the concept of “loyalty” has changed with this new social media or media 2.0. I think that Keith Teare’s photos pretty much sum up the content trends more choices and more brands. Users are looking for new brands to trust. At PodTech we hope to be one of those brands. I predict that you’ll see the concept of a ‘new loyalty’ model evolve. As Fred puts it “And they’ll keep coming back to your service for more entertainment.”
