Best Web 2.0 VCs

In looking at the top Web 2.0 VCs a few names come to mind.  Ones that have been bold enough to make investments.  These are not the ‘tire kickers’ but real investors.   Categories are:  1) leaders 2) tire kickers 3) laggards

Leaders:

Josh Kopelman – First Round Capital.  Savvy entrepreneur with a nose for an early stage deal.

Brad Feld – Mobius.  Mobius is no longer in business but he is starting his own firm.

David Hornik – August Capital.  David is the best tire kicker on the planet and attends every event but has pulled the trigger on deals early.

David Sze – Greylock.  I don’t know David but has made some bold moves on good deals like Digg and Rev3.

Theresia Gouw Ranzetta – Accel.  Young and smart and saw the potential in Glam which was not an obvious deal to see.

Michael Moritz – Sequoia.  He did Yahoo and Google.  What deals will he do next?
