After talking to Michael Verdi one the orginal founder of the vlogger list and active voice in the vlogger community today, I wanted to make a comment about the Lan PodTech issue. Thanks Michael for chatting via email.
There were direct conversations between me and Lan that only he and I know about. He didn’t share the entire account of what happened when I spoke with him when the matter came to my attention. Only he and I know the conversation that resolved the matter. Based upon what transpired in our conversation I believe that the resolution was fair.
We made a mistake and apologized. There was never a motivation of stealing or exploiting content. In fact we support producers and pay for their work.
I am glad to see Lan donate the money to the creative commons. As a result PodTech will be donating $2,000.00 to the creative commons and glad that the matter is resolved. This never has been about money.
PodTech supports creative commons and all the independent work being created by all the emerging producers. Of course we support creative commons.
I hope that this has raised the overall awareness of creative work and the rights of producers in this new global content economy.
