News from MacNN is that Apple moved over 700,000 units of the iPhone this past few days since the launch. What a coup for ATT to do this with Apple. The iPhone will go down as a seminal moment like the Mac.
The key to success will be for Apple to move quickly off of the exclusive ATT deal to other carriers. My take on the ATT deal is that it gives Apple time to maximize the marketing launch and then get the bugs out of the system for a global multi-carrier rollout. That would be a smart move by Apple.
I wonder what the startup community will look like as the iPhone ecosystem rolls out.
The inaugural show of TechOne that PodTech’s Steve Gillmor is producing speaks directly to the impact of the iPhone. called iPhonomics.
